Domain Name
Each web site has its very own Domain Name. Examples are "www.IBM.com" & "www.Microsoft.com".
It can be just as easily a person's name if they want to pay to register it.
Example "www.JohnDoeFamily.org".
In order for domain names to be found by a user's web browser and directed to your web site (or e-mail address), a Domain Name must be registered with InterNIC. It is the only authorized governing agency.
The fee typically costs around $35 per year. We can also register or renew the name for you for less money, as we receive discounts for you. See our service plans. Regardless of who registers the name, InterNIC's minimum initial signup time is for one year. ALL registrations go through InterNIC.
With our web hosting, we offer a TRUE domain name. Many other hosts offer "fake virtual" domain accounts which deceive most browsers into redirecting to another server directory. That method only works with certain browsers, is not full featured, and is not a professional solution.
